Ted Williams bat: $11,004

SOUTH MILWAUKEE — Vintage bats were the biggest sellers in the most recent MEARS Auction. A Ted Williams gamer sold for $11,004; a Babe Ruth from the 1920s sold for $10,760; and a Tris Speaker with a taped handle from the mid-1920s fetched $3,768 and a Bill Wambsganss from 1917-1922 sold for $1,795. The sale ended July 1.
