Maurice ‘Rocket’ Richard sweater: $108,378

DELSON, Quebec — Maurice “Rocket” Richard’s 1949-’50 Montreal Canadiens game-worn wool jersey, with more than 25 team repears, sold for $108,378 in a sale by Classic Auctions that ended June 15. Ron Ellis’s 1972 Canada-Russia series-signed Team Canada away jersey sold for $49,279; and Tim H
orton’s ’69 Toronto Maple LRICHARDSHIRTeafs game-worn alternate captain’s jersey sold for $27,815.

Julius “Pete” Leichnitz’s gold medal from the 1948 Winter Olympics sold for $25,901.
The medal came in its original presentation box. Leichnitz’s gold ring commemorating the ’48 Games victory sold for $2,200.

Babe Siebert’s 1937 “Howie Morenz Memorial Game” wool jersey sold for $18,389. Guy Lafluer’s 1972-’73 Canadiens game-worn jersey fetched $12,543.

And Jacques Laperriere’s 1972-’73 gold and diamond ring from the Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup championship sold for $17,270. His miniature Stanley Cup from the ’64-’65 Cup sold for $4,875. His hockey Hall of Fame induction ring sold for $2,200.
