David Ross gear acquired for Chicago Sports Museum

The CEO of the Harry Caray’s restaurant chain aquired catcher’s gear worn by David Ross in the decisive Game 7 against the Cleveland Indians. Grant DePorter paid $50,000 to Fanatics Authentic for Ross’s signed helmet, chest protector and shin guards for the Chicago Sports Museum. He also paid $8,000 a base from Jon Lester’s NLCS Game 5 win and $5,000 for Anthony Rizzo’s “dumb bat.” That’s the bat he got rid of before borrowing a bat to break out of a 2 for 26 postseason slump.
