Babe Ruth-signed luncheon menu from ’39

A Babe Ruth-signed luncheon menu from the Upper Montclair (N.J.) Country Club sold for $2,831 at a Premier Auctions sale ended Jan. 29. The 1939 luncheon was held for the Wall Street Golf Association. Another top seller was a team-signed ball from the 1976 world champ Cincinnati Reds with Sparky Anderson and Ted Kluszewski’s signatures on the Sweet Spot for $1,865; also on the ball were Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, George Foster, Don Gullett, Ken Griffey and others from the Big Red Machine.
