Frederic (sic) Remington in the Football Hall of Fame? Yep, the player-turned-artist’s work is part of an exhibit in Canton called “Scrimmage.” Andy Warhol and Norman Rockwell works are also part of the exhibit of 78 works at the Canton Museum of Art. The exhibition coincided with the Pro Football HOF weekend. Organizers say it is the first comprehensive show of art about football by American artists. The show made its debut in 2015 at Colorado State University. The pieces date from the Civil War to 2014. Among other items in the show is a Wheaties box with artwork showing the great Jim Thorpe and Polaroid shots of O.J. Simpson taken by Warhol in 1977. The exhibit continues till Oct. 29.
